Michele is a graduate of Michigan
State University with a Bachelors of Science in Dietetics and Human Nutrition.
Currently, Michele is completing her supervised practice hours to become
registered as a dietitian through Compass Group with the Morrison Chartwells
Dietetic Internship. From this internship so far, she has learned how to
demonstrate exemplary professional behaviors and convey leadership within the
community and throughout the nutrition profession. Most importantly, she understands that in this profession it is imperative to make a commitment to active
community service and life-long learning.
Within the next
few months Michele plans to have completed the competencies set by the Academy
of Nutrition and Dietetics to become a Registered Dietitian. The combination of
nutrition and hospitality business is Michele's greatest passion, she hopes to
someday plan and conduct a food service operation in conjunction with
nutritional programs to assist in the promotion of health and wellness in the
community.
Through her previous
work experiences, education, and exposure to the many areas within the dietetic
field, Michele has the ability to supervise activities of a department that provides quantity food services, counsel individuals in both the inpatient and
outpatient settings, and conduct nutrition research.
